Lauren "Freddie Got Fingered" Lloyd will produce, through Sony, "EASY RIDER A.D.", sequel to Columbia Pictures' Dennis Hopper-helmed "EASY RIDER" starring Hopper, Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. The fresh screenplay is by Sean Jacques.
The new film will begin with 'Wyatt' (originally played by Fonda) alive, but in prison, falsely accused of the murder of lawyer George Hanson (Nicholson). A new character believes in Wyatt's innocence, and the two set out for the open road to find their destiny.
Budget is said to be in the $25 million range.
